Abstract
Descriptive assessment is an evaluation approach that emphasizes narrative and qualitative feedback about student learning processes and outcomes. This research is motivated by the limited study that specifically discusses teachers’ perceptions of descriptive assessments in English learning, especially in community-based non-formal education such as English Massive Kediri. The main problem studied is how teachers perceive descriptive assessments and what challenges they face in their application. This study uses a descriptive qualitative method with data collection techniques in the form of in-depth interviews, observations, and document analysis validated through triangulation.
