Abstract
The background of the study in this research is based on the student have difficulties in vriting procedure text because the teacher just explains the material orally without being
supported by teaching aids. To improve students ability in writing procedure text, the teacher 1eeds a strategy through using an aid that facilitates on writing procedure text. Make a match is one of aid that can be used in teaching writing procedure text. Using make a match students are able to write procedure text easily. The objective study is by implementing teaching writing by using make a match can improve the student activities in writing , by implementing of teaching writing by using make match can improve the students result of study writing. The design of study is collaborative classroom action research (CAR) which the researcher was assisted by a collaborator in conducting the research. The subject of this research is class 7H of SMP Negeri 1 Semen. Total numbers of students in 7H is 36 student. the research does interview, observation, questionnaire, test, and discussion The result of the class applied this method is mostly students are active. The procedure of the research is research needs two cycle meetings. the steps of make a match technique are (1)brainstorming of procedure text as like generic structure and (2) giving material of writing,(3) applying make a match technique, (4)asking the students to do the task, (5) doing exercise. (6) discussing the exercise,(7) making conclusion (8) dong test (9) collecting of the test . all of them can find the match of their make a match, means they are comfortable students score 89°o of all students in the class researched, can pass the Students’ improvement of their skill is shown by their final score that 36 students can pass the KKM. They get score around 80 and more. For get must successful .
