Abstract

Many students do not have the motivation to learn English because teachers still use traditional media that can make students feel so bored. Teachers need to develop and have variations in their media by using modern media that utilizes
current technology. One of the modern media is Quizizz. Quizizz is a game-based educational application or website,
which brings multiplayer activities into the classroom virtually and carries out the learning process as a media for assessment in the classroom which will run interactively and will not be boring (more fun). So, the objectives of this research are knowing the implementation of the Quizizz application and students' perceptions of the Quizizz application as an assessment media in the class of XI TJKT 3.
This research is qualitative research in which the researcher used 3 data collection techniques, namely Observation, Interview and Questionnaire. In this study, researchers analyzed the data using 4 stages according to Miles and Huberman, namely, collecting data, reduction, display and conclusion.
The results of the data analysis showed that researcher have carried out through observation are that the implementation process carried out by teachers is good, only lacking in making modules and ATP. (1) Starting from the opening by reviewing the previous material first, (2) Providing an explanation of the rules and procedures for taking quizzes on the Quizizz application, (3) The work on the quiz questions went well by the students, many students competed to get high scores, and (4) The evaluation stage where after the work the teacher evaluates by looking at the students' scores and discussing again the questions that many students answered incorrectly. Apart from that, the results of data analysis that researcher have carried out through questionnaires and interviews are that Kunjang Islamic Vocational High School students, especially in class XI TJKT 3 have used the Quizizz Application as an assessment media is very positive perception. Data showed that students agree that using the Quizizz application is very interesting and fun. However, there is one obstacle that students feel, namely the network problem which is still inadequate, namely the problem of an unstable network which can slightly affect taking quizzes on the Quizizz Application.
